Kunkel-Patterson had requested STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) materials.
On hand for the presentation were UW’s Harry the Husky (because Kunkel-Patterson is a UW graduate) and State Rep. Ruth Kagi.
Fuel Your School is a national program that provides about $8 million a year in classroom supplies. The program provides about $600,000 to King County projects. Last year the program helped fund 497 classroom projects for King County public schools.
