The Phinney Neighborhood Association is an ever-evolving committed to fostering an environment where everyone is welcomed. The PNA is always listening, learning and reflecting to meet the current and future needs of Northwest Seattle, and our Businesses District is the cornerstone of the PhinneyWood neighborhood. The PNA has supported and partnered with local businesses for over 40 years, and we are working with the Seattle Office of Economic Development on a Retail & Ground Floor Study that will help inform us of the goals and aspirations of our community in the decades to come.
The Seattle Office of Economic Development has initiated a Retail and Ground Floor Revitalization Analysis in collaboration with &Access, Agency Landscape + Planning, and Ochoa Urban Collaborative, focusing on 11 neighborhoods to address evolving retail dynamics and community needs. This study aims to develop tailored strategies to fill vacant ground-floor spaces, enhance walkability, and attract visitors, with completion anticipated by July 2025.
The purpose of this survey is to gather community input on neighborhood character, interest in development, and preferences related to Creative District designation and/or design guidelines. Your responses will help shape the future of Phinney/Greenwood and ensure the neighborhood reflects the community’s priorities.
