Broadview Thomson K-8 school, just north of Greenwood, is hosting its third annual student artwalk from 6-8 p.m. Thursday. The artwalk celebrates Seattle artists Jacob Lawrence and Jimi Hendrix.
This school year all classes participated in experiences supporting the study of our featured artists. Broadview Thomson K-8 partnered with both the Experience Music Project and Seattle Art Museum to create innovative arts experiences for our students.
As a result our Artwalk will offer a variety of projects inspired by Jacob Lawrence and Jimi Hendrix. Student performances will include drama, dance, music and poetry. Visual arts created by our students will be displayed throughout the halls.
