Give blood to help patients receiving transplant procedures! Blood donation and organ transplants go hand in hand – over 40,000 transplants were performed in the U.S. last year. Most of those surgeries require a unit, and in most cases, multiple units of blood and platelets.
As a blood donor, you make organ transplantation possible and provide patients with another renewed chance at a healthy life. Donating blood takes about an hour and is urgently needed.
