Art Up/Open Up artwalk starts at 6 tonight

by | Feb 13, 2009

Just a little reminder that tonight is the Greenwood-Phinney monthly art walk known as Art Up/Open Up. Dozens of businesses will be open to show off various artists’ work, and some businesses, like Gaspare’s Restaurant, are offering special discounts.
Here’s a piece by mural painting squad Matamuros (Jill Rothenberger, Zachary Bohnekamp and Kevin “Sensei 23 projux” Sullivan). Their work will be showcased at Naked City Tap House, 8564 Greenwood Ave. N.

Lemon Meringue boutique at 7720 Greenwood Ave. N. #101, is having a one-day sale and will feature two artists while sommelier David LeClaire pours local wines. The store also will be collecting workplace appropriate clothing to donate to Dress for Success, which provides attire, jewelry and handbags to disadvantaged women to help them in their career path. Lemon Meringue will take donations of used jewelry, handbags, and workplace appropriate clothing – petite to plus sizes – throughout the month of February.
