Phinney Books holding book drive for children’s literacy program

by | Jan 19, 2024

From January 13 to 27, Phinney Books will hold a book drive to raise books for Greenwood’s Page Ahead Children’s Literacy Program. Anyone can purchase a book to donate by either visiting the online registry or in person by shopping from a designated table at Phinney Books.

Page Ahead is the leading provider of children’s books and literacy services in the state of Washington,
earning them a top-ranking on Charity Navigator and a State Literacy Award from the Library of Congress.
They develop reading activities that empower at-risk children and work toward erasing the early reading
gap for children in communities of low income across the state. Since 1990, they have donated more than
four million books through collaborations with schools, social service agencies, preschools, and early
childhood programs.
