Free Drug Disposal Day this Saturday at SPD North Precinct

by | Oct 20, 2021

The Seattle Police Department is honored to bring Drug Take Back Day to Seattle again this year! This Saturday October 23rd from 10am- 2pm in the front parking lot of the North Precinct (10049 College Way N), you can bring your unwanted, unneeded, or expired prescription drugs to be safely disposed of.

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands. That’s dangerous and often tragic and why it is important to clean out your medicine cabinets and turn in these items safely and anonymously – no questions asked. Social distancing recommendations will be adhered to.

What Can I bring?

  • Medicines in any form (pills, capsules, creams, liquids)
  • Prescription medicines
  • Non-Prescription over-the-counter medicines
  • Controlled substances
  • Pet medicines

Not Accepted:

  • Herbal remedies
  • Vitamins
  • Supplements
  • Cosmetics
  • Personal care products
  • Medical devices
  • Batteries
  • Mercury thermometers
  • Sharps
  • Illicit drugs
  • Pet pesticide products

If you are unable to participate on October 23rd, but would like to dispose of medications, please visit this website for drop-boxes open year-round.
