Phinney Farmers Market is from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., with fresh veggies, fruit, bread, beer, wine, cider, flowers, honey, ice cream, popsicles, kimchi and lots more.
Foss Farmers Market is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Foss Home and Village, 13023 Greenwood Ave. N., in Broadview.
Safe Routes to School community event from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at Greenwood Park, 602 N. 87th St., to celebrate new pedestrian/biking safety improvements on Aurora Avenue at North 92nd Street near the new Robert Eagle Staff Middle School and Cascadia Elementary School. There’s also a ribbon cutting for the new Safe Routes to School at 2 p.m. on Sunday, at the corner of Ashworth Avenue North and North 92nd Street, with a street party, parade and free gelato from Nutty Squirrel.
Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., presents Little Sara and the Night Owls in concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and Open Jazz Jam with Kenny Mandell (all levels welcome) from 2-4:15 p.m. Sunday.
Greenwood Elementary School, 144 NW 80th St., is hosting a Kindergarten Play Date for incoming families from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Jewish Hebrew Singling Circle from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Works Progress Coworking, 115 N. 85th St.
Traffic-wise this weekend:
- Seattle Seahawks vs. Kansas City at 5 p.m. Friday at CenturyLink Field.
- Washington State Department of Transportation crews will close the two right lanes of the Aurora Bridge from 5-11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday for bridge inspection work.
- Seattle Sounders vs. Portland at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at CenturyLink Field.
