Mental Health Symposium at Greenwood Senior Center Feb. 22

The next in the Phinney Center’s “Difficult Conversations Series” is a Mental Health Symposium from 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at the Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St.

Nearly 1 in 5 Americans are affected by affected by mental health conditions every year, yet as a society we often do not understand or deal well with the impacts of these illnesses. Join representatives from the National Alliance on Mental Illness, In Our Own Voice and Compass Housing, as well as a family caregiver and advocate, to discuss myths and facts about this health epidemic, issues surrounding resources and public policy, and how we can help.
