Farmers Market, comedy showcase, blues and more this weekend

It’s a beautiful day for the Phinney Farmers Market, from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Friday in the upper parking lot of the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Fresh fruit, veggies, bread, meat, eggs, flowers, cider and lots of dining options. If you’re walking there from Greenwood, the Phinney Farmers Market Walking Group leaves the Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St., at 3 p.m.

Naked City Brewery, 8564 Greenwood Ave. N., is hosting its monthly (Stand-Up Style) Comedy Showcase from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Couth Buzzard hosts First Sundays Blues Open Jam Session from 6:30-9 p.m. Sunday.

Since it’s the Fourth of July weekend, there are lots of events happening in nearby neighborhoods and downtown:

  • In Ballard, the free Pedaler’s Fair is from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday at NW 49th Street and 17th Avenue NW, with a bike goods marketplace, Ballard beer, food truck rodeo, music, bike trivia and more.
  • Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival, Saturday through Monday, at the Center for Wooden Boats in South Lake Union Park. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday.
  • Seafair Summer Fourth at Gasworks Park from 12-11 p.m. Monday. Fireworks over Lake Union begins at 10:20 p.m.
  • Mariners are playing Baltimore at 7:10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 1:10 p.m. Sunday.
