Beginning today through Sept. 9, Metro Route 5 Express will be rerouted off of eastbound NW 85th Street at 3rd Avenue NW, due to construction that will restrict traffic turning right from NW 85th Street onto Greenwood Avenue.
Southbound Route 5 Express to downtown Seattle will instead travel via 3rd Avenue NW to NW 80th Street, to Greenwood Avenue and then back to its regular route toward downtown. The northbound route will not be affected.
That means the bus will miss stops eastbound on North 85th Street at 1st Avenue NW and southbound on Greenwood Avenue North at North 85th Street. Bus riders should use the stops southbound on 3rd Avenue NW at NW 89th Street and southbound on Greenwood Avenue North at North 80th Street.
