Many Parks and Recreation facilities closed on Labor Day

Many Seattle Parks and Recreation facilities will be closed for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 7, including:

  • Community centers
  • Environmental learning centers
  • Indoor swimming pools
  • Green Lake Small Craft Center
  • Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center
  • Amy Yee Tennis Center

The following facilities will remain open on Labor Day:

  • Golf courses
  • Boat ramps
  • Beaches (Matthews, Madison, Mt. Baker, Seward, West Green Lake)
  • Lowery C. “Pop” Mounger Pool
  • Colman Pool
  • Wading pools (Green Lake, Lincoln Park, Van Asselt, Volunteer Park)
  • Spray Parks

Also, Labor Day is the last day of operation for all outdoor swimming pools, spray parks, wading pools and beaches. (Any outdoor aquatic facilities not listed above will have already closed for the season by Labor Day.)
