Greenwood-Phinney Art Up Artwalk is tonight

by | Dec 12, 2014

Tonight is our neighborhood’s monthly Art Up Artwalk from 6-9 p.m., with three dozen galleries and businesses hosting artists in all kinds of mediums, so it’s a good time to get some Christmas shopping done locally. Check out the Artwalk website for a full list of all participating businesses and artists, a map, and restaurants offering Artwalk specials.

Here are a few highlights.

A group of more than 30 artists, including Seattle Times photojournalist Betty Udesen, has joined together for a pop-up art show examining the topic of peace. They’ll be inside the beautiful empty space at 8421 Greenwood Ave. N. (formerly Antika). Cellist Mannfried Funk and vocalist Christyna Honeycutt will perform.

At 7601 Greenwood Ave. N., check out Andrea Groenink’s bags and accessories made from vintage and designer fabrics (below), Suzanne Harrison’s custom-made screen-printed pillows, necklaces by metalworker Todd Harrison, woodworking by Andrew Makatura and Gale Backer, along with several other artists.
