The Phinney Neighborhood Association’s Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival is next Saturday, Nov. 1, from 5:30 -9 p.m. at the Blue Building, 6532 Phinney Ave.
Appropriate for all ages, the free festival includes music, Aztec dancers, food, arts and crafts, a traditional altar dedication, and Spanish music for children.
The festival begins at 5:30 p.m. in Community Plaza for a procession led by Ce Atl Tonalli Aztec Dancers.
Volunteer opportunities are still available to help decorate the PNA, paint faces, help kids decorate sugar skulls, etc. Volunteers can sign up online.
