Update: Deborah tells us her car was recovered near Aurora Avenue and North 145th, with mostly cosmetic damage. “The driver side door had been pried open, the club was gone, and there were no signs of hot wiring — the police thought a stripped-down Nissan key had been used. Unfortunately, the people who stole it were meth heads and left their stuff in the car. They also left some receipts, which I’ve turned over to the police as evidence.”
Earlier: Deborah tells us her purple 1995 four-door Nissan Altima was stolen from in front of her house in Greenwood last night, even though it had an anti-theft “club” on the steering wheel.
It has a balding patch of paint near the sun roof, and is smooshed in the front near the passenger side. It was last seen around 6:30 p.m. last night (Friday 9/26). There may still be a green Tickles the Tapeworm air freshener hanging from the rear-view mirror. If you see the car, please let me know. Deborah at 206-579-1216. Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled.
If you’ve seen it, please call the police and reference incident report number 14-323418.
