by | Mar 3, 2014

Cobblestone Used Furniture, 8404 Greenwood Ave. N., is closing after 42 years in Greenwood. Owners Phil (known as Pepper to his friends) and Malka Aust are retiring. All remaining inventory is on sale at 50 percent off, including tables, dressers, bureaus, nightstands, chairs and artwork. Cobblestone is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

They plan to close by the end of April, and say a new (unnamed) tenant is making plans for the space. The Austs own the building.

Cobblestone started on Leary Way in the early 1970s, later moving to Greenwood, where it occupied various locations from North 73rd to North 85th Street.
