Phinney Ridge Community Council meeting tonight to discuss zoning, parks

The Phinney Ridge Community Council meets at 7:30 p.m. tonight (Tuesday) at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N., in the Blue Building.

On the agenda:

  • Speak Up Seattle, an effort by multiple neighborhoods to rollback recent multifamily zoning changes that allow “too much building, not enough sky,” according to their tagline. Phinney resident Mike Veitenhans will discuss.
  • Seattle Parks and Recreation’s Parks Legacy plan
  • Planning for a joint meeting in April with the Greenwood Community Council about a Neighborhood Matching Fund grant for parks property in the neighborhood.
  • Report on HUD/Disaster Plan
