PNA still seeking volunteers for new PNA Village

by | Feb 24, 2012

The Phinney Neighborhood Association is looking for more volunteers for its new PNA Village.

The PNA Village, which helps people to remain in their homes while staying active and connected as they age, is seeking volunteers with a wide variety of skills. Volunteers provide much of the talent and energy behind the Village. They create a vital network of support for our members who choose to age in place. The PNA Village is intended to help build a culture of interdependence and to create a spirit of mutual support between members and volunteers.
Volunteer opportunities include transportation, handy work, home safety tasks, community building, administrative support, and more.
For details, call 206.789.1217 or email [email protected].
We will hold a PNA Village Volunteer Kick-Off event at the PNC Brick Building on February 26, from 1:30-3:30 pm. If you’re interested in volunteering, this is a great way to get started! Tasty snacks will be provided. An RSVP is appreciated, but not required. Feel free to stop by, and bring friends!
