Pancake breakfast and community cleanup Saturday

by | Mar 4, 2009

Join the folks from GAIN (Greenwood Aurora Involved Neighbors) for a community breakfast Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Upper Crust Catering, 8420 Greenwood Ave. N., 2nd floor, followed by a litter cleanup focusing on Greenwood Avenue and neighboring streets.
The breakfast is provided by Sanctuary Church and Upper Crust Catering. The cleanup, 10 -11:30 a.m., is organized as part of the city’s Adopt-a-Street program.

This will be GAIN’s 29th litter cleanup in the Aurora/Greenwood corridor over the last 3.5 years! Many of you may have heard that there has been a spate of burglaries of small businesses in Greenwood recently – Strut Shoes, Neptune Coffee, and Makeda Coffee are some of the businesses affected most recently. Let’s show our support for our friendly business district by coming together as a community and cleaning up the area!

As part of the city’s Adopt-a-Street program, volunteers get free use of gloves, litter grabber tools, safety vests, garbage bags, and free disposal of garbage. For more information, email GAIN.
