Celebrate community with Neighbor Appreciation Day on Saturday

by | Feb 5, 2009

Saturday is the 15th annual city-wide Neighbor Appreciation Day, where people are encouraged to get to know their neighbors better to strengthen community. And it all started right here in Phinney Ridge, when Judith Wood, currently the volunteer coordinator at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, encouraged the city to designate a special day to strengthen neighborhood bonds.
The city is hosting a number of Neighbor Appreciation Day events. The PNA, at 6532 Phinney Ave. N., will have an open house from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday with cookies and free cards to give to your neighbors.
