Bike lanes going in on Fremont Ave.

by | Sep 29, 2008

Spray-painted markers denoting where permanent bike lanes and “sharrows” will be placed are marking up Fremont Avenue from the south end of Woodland Park Zoo to North 42nd Street.

According to an employee at the Seattle Department of Transportation, the permanent markers could go in later this year if the weather holds. If not, they’ll go in sometime next year when the weather again improves.

The completion of the bike lanes and shared roadway markers is part of Seattle’s Bicycle Master Plan.
