Wine boutique, dessert cafe moving into Fini

by | Jul 13, 2008

The Fini condos at 68th and Greenwood Ave. will soon feature two new businesses. The first is called Picnic, described as a “food and wine boutique.”

Picnic will feature a full wine bar as well as organic soups, salads and sandwiches for lunch. You can also buy such delicacies as pate, duck leg confit, prosciutto and a long list of other meats and locally-grown vegetables and take it all to go. The idea is to “provide our neighbors with restaurant-caliber meals” that they can take it home or on a picnic, reads a description on the window. Here’s a look at an artist’s rendering of the inside…

Picnic is scheduled to open in September. Meanwhile, on the south end of the Fini condos, a new dessert cafe is slated to open, according to signs on the windows. By the way, Fini says it’s has just 9 units left to sell.
