Gorgeous night for Summer Streets

by | Aug 12, 2012

It was a perfect night Friday for the annual Summer Streets event. Greenwood Avenue was closed down to cars so neighbors could walk and ride bikes in the streets.
Art was happening everywhere. By professional artists in front of the Greenwood Collective…

By budding artists…

And incredibly detailed chainsaw art.

The Bubbleman is always a huge draw for the kids.

Kids could sit in the front seat of Engine 21, or play games in the street.

Naked City Brewery and The Yard hosted a 16-team soccer tournament.

Aerial performers from Versatile Arts wowed the crowds with their strength and flexibility.

A-1 Pianos set up three pianos in the street for anyone to play.

The Fiber Gallery had a knitting circle, complete with spinning wheel.

Thanks to Mike Veitenhans for most of the photos!
