Hazel Salon puts hair clippings to good use

Here’s a story that got lost in the shuffle of last week’s fires and flood. Phinney Ridge’s new Hazel Salon & Organics (a PhinneyWood sponsor) puts all that cut hair to good use cleaning up oil spills.
KING 5 profiled owner Tara Berg on Aug. 13. She sweeps up hair and sends it off to an organization called A Matter of Trust, which turns the hair into oil-absorbing mats.
