Green Lake to dedicate shade garden

by | Jun 18, 2009

All that construction on the east side of the Green Lake Community Center is done and on Saturday the Parks Department will dedicate the Green Lake Shade Plaza and Garden. The ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony starts at 10 a.m.

A Pro Parks Levy project, the shade plaza and garden provides beautiful passive recreational areas, gathering areas, a shade garden and seating near the Green Lake Community Center. The historic arch from Martha Washington School has been restored and relocated here. It offers an elegant focal point for the esplanade.
