Summer swim leagues still open

by | Jun 12, 2009

Seattle Parks and Recreation says it still has openings for its popular Summer Swim League, which gives young swimmers, ages 7–18, the opportunity to learn about competitive swimming in a fun, low pressure setting.

Swimmers work out every weekday morning for this 6-week program that highlights two dual meets and two championship meets each summer where participants get the opportunity to compete in individual races as well as relays. Included in the program, participants in Summer Swim League will receive a t-shirt as well as awards for competing in both dual and championship meets.

The program begins at Seattle Parks and Recreation pools throughout Seattle on June 22, and runs through the first weekend in August. For more information, contact your local pool.
