Boys & Girls Club looking for boosters

by | Apr 28, 2009

The newly formed North Seattle Boys & Girls Club Boosters Association is looking for people to make small, regular donations to the Greenwood Boys & Girls Club.
They’re hoping that monthly donations of $5 or $10 will bring in enough money to help support the club’s programs, and will remind the community on a regular basis of what the club is all about.
Donations are tax deductible because the group is fiscally sponsored by Taproot Theatre – a 501(c)3 organization. The Boosters Association’s initial goal is to get 100 people giving $5 a month, which would equal $6,000 a year for the club.
They’ll be having a kickoff celebration at Taproot Theatre on June 2nd in conjunction with Taproot’s performance of “Around the World in 80 Days.” All tickets for that performance will benefit the Boosters and the Boys & Girls Club. You can buy tickets from the Boosters website. And they’ll have a booth set up near the Greenwood Collective at 8537 Greenwood Ave. N. during the monthly Art Walk on Friday, May 8.
