Día de los Muertos – Day of the Dead Celebration – this Saturday from 11am – 3pm

Celebrate Día de los Muertos, a Mexican holiday honoring the dead with food, drink, and festivities right here in the Phinneywood neighborhood! Our celebration includes the dedication of a traditional altar for offerings to the deceased. Bring your offerings (pictures, mementos, small items) to the Phinney Center before or during the event to be included on the altar.

Arts & Crafts

11 am- 3 pm, lower lot

Get creative and craftsy with free arts and crafts activities – fun for all ages!

Food & Drink

11 am- 3 pm, lower lot

Sip the delicious Mexican hot chocolate and nibble on the traditional pan de muerto for sale. If you get hungry for lunch, we’ve got you covered! Luna Azul will be have their grill set up in the parking lot selling fresh tacos.

Community Altar

Blue Building, until 2 pm

Visit the altar before 2 pm on this day, during the week leading up to the festival, or throughout the month of November. Bring photos or offerings of your loved ones and add them to the altar to honor their memory, either the week before or at the event.

Live Performances

Tickets: $5 / babies under 1 year are free

Each live performance will be joined by special guest Raul Sanchez to dedicate the community altar.
Please note capacity is limited, guests are required to wear masks, and those 12 and over will need to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
