GloCone looking for 2 community leads for annual event

by | Nov 3, 2021

Are you a fan of our annual holiday neighborhood event, the GloCone? Do you like climbing tall towers and putting things together? Are you planning on staying in the Phinneywood area for the foreseeable future? If so, we are looking for 2 new community leads for this annual event and you should apply!

The GloCone was created by dedicated and generous community members and debuted in 2014. Since then, these folks have upgraded the technology and visual impact of this attraction with the fabulous GloCone 2.0

But alas, it is time for the original GloCone Wranglers to start thinking about sunny retirement villas and not have to worry about scaling an air raid tower, storing and hauling equipment out of their garages each year, or any of the myriad of responsibilities that come with any great effort.

The Phinney Neighborhood Association will be storing and taking responsibility for the GloCone following this year’s lighting on November 27th, but we are looking for two interested and dedicated people from the community to join the effort this year and beyond. The original wranglers (“OW’s”) will be on hand this year to teach and instruct, and will likely be around and involved for more, but also want to bring new blood into this event. Just to be clear, we are looking for two responsible people to join in helping create the event annually, but not to lead the event.

If you are interested in learning more or being considered, please reach out to Chris at [email protected].
