United We Stand with our Asian American and Pacific Islander Neighbors march this Saturday at Green Lake

by | Mar 25, 2021

As we bear witness to the horrors of racism across our nation in the form of unprompted attacks on our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) neighbors, it is our responsibility as a community to stand up and help in any way we can. Community member Michael Welke received an unprompted letter recently asking him to do just this, and he has organized a solidarity walk this Saturday evening at Green Lake starting at 6pm. The letter is pictured above.

Per Michael’s Facebook event, “We stand together with our AAPI community and are committed to be a voice against racism and as an advocate for a more just and humane world. We deserve and demand a better America – an America that is safe for all of its citizens. Mask Up! Bring your signs, candles, glow sticks, flashlight, etc whatever you choose to help shine the light as we walk together in solidarity.”
