by | Jul 9, 2018

Just a reminder that the Phinney Ridge Community Council meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday (tomorrow) at the Phinney Neighborhood Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. The meeting is open to the public.
Guest speaker Michael Sowby will discuss Seattle University’s research project about perceptions of crime and public safety and police-community interactions, which helped shape Seattle Police Department’s Micropolicing Plan.

Survey data will be used in conjunction with focus groups and police-community engagement to inform and revise the MCPP priorities and strategies. MCPPs will then be used in conjunction with crime data to direct Seattle police resources and services to target unique needs of Seattle’s micro-communities.

The Council also will discuss the status of various proposed developments in our neighborhood, as well as the city’s environmental impact statement for Backyard Cottages and Detached Accessory Dwelling Units.
