The four-story apartment building of 24 small efficiency dwelling units planned for 949 N. 80th St. has been appealed, with an appeal hearing scheduled for March 13.
The appeal is for both Design Review and the Determination of Non-Significance for environmental issues. Both were granted conditional approval in late December.
The project would provide parking for six vehicles at grade level. The site is currently an empty lot. It used to be a Seattle City Light substation.
The project underwent Administrative Design Review, meaning no public meetings, but public comments were received. You can see the Design Proposal here. And you can read DCI’s December decision here.
The appeal hearing is at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the Office of Hearing Examiner, Suite 4000, on the 40th Floor of the Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 5th Ave.
