Greenwood Library renovation celebration is Saturday afternoon

by | Jul 13, 2017

The Greenwood Library is marking the completion of its recent renovation with a community celebration from 1-3 p.m. Saturday.

Executive Director and Chief Librarian Marcellus Turner will deliver brief remarks at 1:30 p.m., followed by music by a flutist from the Music Center of the Northwest, and a sing-along to “Follow Me to the Greenwood Library.” Patrons can see historic photos of Greenwood and neighborhood murals, an interactive “What I love about the library” display, and enjoy refreshments supplied by Fred Meyer and PCC.

Before the celebration there’s a special construction-themed story time at 11 a.m. for preschoolers and toddlers, featuring construction workers in their vests and hard hats.
