The City of Seattle is looking for focus group participants to weigh in on housing affordability issues and the Housing Affordability and Livability Advisory Committee (HALA) recommendations.
Focus groups will consist of several representatives from each neighborhood area, including homeowners, renters, people with and without children, experienced neighborhood advocates and those with no advocacy experience. The idea is to reflect a broad range of perspectives. It will be facilitated by an independent third party.
Four or five Community Focus Groups of 20-40 people each will meet monthly, from March through December. Meetings will be open to the public to observe and comment during a set time on the agenda. Each focus group member should expect to spend about 10-15 hours per month reading materials, and attending meetings.
Most meetings will occur at City Hall downtown outside of typical business hours. Community Focus Group members will get free parking and public transit during meeting times.
