Couth Buzzard is hosting a fundraiser from 7:30-9:45 p.m. Friday to help it recover from a recent burglary.
Come celebrate Our Diverse Community with an evening of music, spoken word and comedy to help Couth Buzzard bounce back from our recent burglary and to spring forward to an incredible future! Performers include: Fine Company, Kesselgarden, Spontaneous Music Collective, Stew Hendrickson, Kate Smith, Little Sara & The Night Owls, Erin Ingle, Brett Hamil, Theo Dzielak, and others. Free. Donations strongly encouraged.
PNA Winter Festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Phinney Center, 6532 Phinney Ave. N. Admission is $2 PNA members, $4 general public, plus a can of food for the food bank. 115 artists and crafts vendors, live ongoing entertainment on two stages, quilt raffle, bake sale and lunch items.
Handmade Seattle Pop-up Shop at Avanti Art & Design’s new location at 7000 Greenwood Ave. N., from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Beppa Studios holiday sale from 4-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 7700 6th Ave. NW.
Children’s book sale, 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the Ballard Library, 5614 22nd Ave. NW.
Book lovers will find hundreds of “like-new” books that have been selected for this one-day sale, including board books, picture books, children’s and young adult novels. All books will be individually priced. Most books will cost from $2 to $4.
Soulumination’s 10th Annual Artists’ Sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, 5201 11th Ave. NW.
(Stand-Up Style) Comedy Showcase from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday at Naked City Brewery & Taphouse, 8564 Greenwood Ave. N.
First Sundays Blues Open Jam Session from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N.
If you’re heading downtown Friday night, check out the Great Figgy Pudding Street Corner Caroling Competition with dozens of choral groups, including the Phinney Neighborhood Community Chorus, raising money for the Pike Place Market Senior Center and Food Bank. It starts at 6 p.m. on street corners in and around Westlake Center. Pine Street between 4th and 7th avenues, and 5th Avenue between Olive Way and Pike Street, will be closed until about 8:30 p.m.
