Live music, finals days of WildLights this weekend

It appears to be kind of a quiet weekend as people recover from the holidays and New Year’s Eve. Here are a few highlights of events in Greenwood and Phinney Ridge. Check our Events calendar any time for more.

Couth Buzzard Books, 8310 Greenwood Ave. N., presents Jazz First Fridays with New Ronin 4 at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Woodland Park Zoo’s WildLights continues through Sunday, Jan. 4. Hours are 5:30-8:30. Tickets are $9.75 for ages 13 and up; $6.50 for ages 3-12; free for children under 3.

Tim’s Tavern, 602 N. 105th St, presents The Witches Titties and Ben Ghazi Quartet Friday night; and ’60s and ’70s covers by Midnight Radio Revival Saturday night.

The Greenwood Senior Center, 525 N. 85th St., is hosting a recycling station from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday for hard-to-recycle items: Block styrofoam and small plastic lids under three inches. You can also bring household batteries.
