Greenwood and Ballard teens produce documentary about Boy Scouts anti-gay policies

Greenwood teens Leo Pfeifer and Duncan Gowdy and Ballard teen Coleman Andersen just released an online documentary about the Boy Scouts policy against gays.
“Clipped Wings” tells the story of Liam Easton-Calabria, a candidate for the rank of Eagle who came out before the BSA allowed gay scouts. Some of the film was shot in Greenwood and Phinney Ridge, including Liam’s Eagle Scout ceremony at the Phinney Neighborhood Center. The film also follows Geoff McGrath, a Scoutmaster who was ejected from scouting because of his sexuality.
The three filmmakers attend Ballard High School. According to Pfeifer, their previous films have been honored by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and various regional, national and international festivals, including the Seattle International Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival.
