Bluebird Brewing opening at Bluebird Microcreamery on Thursday

by | Nov 12, 2012

Bluebird Microcreamery is expanding into the beer business. It will officially open Bluebird Brewing with a special happy hour from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the Phinney Ridge shop, 7400 Greenwood Ave. The happy hour will feature raffles with prizes for T-shirts, growlers, and coupons for free scoops and pints of ice cream.
The brewery will not only brew dessert beers, but craft sodas as well, from eight taps (they’re striving for an old-fashioned soda fountain feel). It’ll offer both beer and soda for pints, floats and growlers. Beers and sodas brewed at the Phinney Ridge shop will be available at all three of Bluebird’s locations.
Flavors of beers and sodas will rotate. Beers on tap on Thursday will be Caffé Vita Coffee Porter, Theo Chocolate Milk Stout (which placed third at the PNA Beer Taste last night), Strong Blonde Ale, and a guest tap that will be announced later. Sodas on tap will be Root Beer, Snickerdoodle Soda, Cream Soda and a guest tap of Rachel’s Ginger Beer.
