As Passover swiftly approaches, Chabad of Northwest Seattle on 115 N 85th Street is gearing up to host its Community Passover Seder on Monday, April 22 at the Chabad Jewish Center.
Recognized as one of the most widely observed Jewish holidays in America, Passover begins with the Seder, a poignant gathering of family and friends. This year, Passover spans from Monday evening, April 22, through Tuesday evening, April 30.
In an effort to accommodate those seeking a place to partake in this cherished tradition, Chabad NW Seattle warmly extends an invitation to join the Community Passover Seder.
During the Seder, participants will embark on a journey recounting the Jewish people’s liberation from ancient Egyptian bondage, revealing the timeless significance and relevance of this age-old tale in today’s world. The evening will be enhanced with a catered dinner complemented by an assortment of kosher wines and the customary handmade round “Shmurah” Matzah.
In addition to fostering familial bonds and intergenerational interactions, the Seder places special emphasis on engaging with the youth. For those seeking further details or wishing to make reservations, please visit the event site here.
Additionally, on Sunday, April 14th, the community is invited to join Chabad for their Family Model Matzah Bakery. Participants will have the opportunity to cut, thresh, and grind wheat into flour. Then, racing against the clock, they will mix, punch, roll, and bake their very own Matzahs to take home. From farmer to baker, participants will experience the entire process in under 18 minutes!
