Early outreach survey available for new project near 85th and Greenwood

by | Mar 23, 2024

An early outreach survey is now available for a development between Greenwood Ave N and Dayton Ave N on the south side of N 85th Street – officially at 425 N 85th St. This project proposes construction of a new multi-story, mixed-use building that will include apartments, amenity spaces, retail shops and parking. The footprint currently contains the derelict former Medicine Man pharmacy and several parking lots and empty lots.

As a part of the City of Seattle’s Required Outreach in advance of Design Review, the public can weigh in on what is important to you before the plans are submitted to the City – your voice matters! The project is in its early stages, and the information on this site will give you a sense of the project vision, timelines and how the development team is approaching design. The project’s stated vision is:

This building’s design is a response to urban living in a dynamic and abundantly green neighborhood. It embraces the existing scale and variety of surroundings and embodies the spirit of inclusivity that defines Greenwood. Like the cedar tree’s great canopy, the building is inviting, engaging, and protective. A combination of public green spaces and gracious transitions draws people together, adds visual character and enhances public safety, thoughtfully reinforcing town center goals.

Please feel free to take the Project Survey and/or leave comments. All information obtained will be part of the documentation for this effort and is considered public comment.

To track the progress of this project through the design review and permitting process, look up our project at 425 N 85th St in the Seattle Services Portal.
