The eager anticipation of Holy Mountain Brewing opening a taproom in PhinneyWood came to fruition yesterday in a big way. The first business to officially open in the long-delayed Shared Roof building on the corner of 70th and Greenwood, owner Colin Lenfesty decided to invite a few friends and open their doors Friday afternoon.
Word spread quickly throughout the Holy Mountain community as well as the surrounding neighborhood, and by 4:30pm the line to the taps stretched far outside the space itself and onto Greenwood Ave. Every table was filled with happy patrons and well-wishing fans of the brewery, with appearances by the building owners, the PNA Beer Committee, and numerous furry friends and kiddos.
Holy Mountain’s new taproom provides 12 taps of rotating beers, with special offerings made just for this location. It is the first of the highly-anticipated businesses in Shared Roof, which will include Ben’s Bread (2 weeks out, per co-owner Megan Campbell), Doe Bay Wine Company, and Lioness.
Holy Mountain should be open again today and through the weekend, though exact hours have not yet been posted. Congratulations Colin and welcome to the neighborhood!
