There will be a discussion of the proposed ordinance currently being reviewed in the Land Use Committee chaired by our District 6 Representative Dan Strauss Tuesday evening starting at 7pm and via Zoom. This Ordinance was previously passed by the City Council but was appealed by Master Builder’s Association. Their current position is posted here.
While the Hearing Examiner ruled in favor of the passed Ordinance, the Ordinance has been rewritten and is again being considered. The delays in agreeing to this Tree Protection plus the appeal has resulted in a great loss of trees. Many tree advocates have again submitted revisions that are needed for this version being considered. Participate in a discussion to inform our City Council what should and should not be part of this Ordinance.
