Congratulations to Thaiku Restaurant on winning Best Bite of September’s inagural Bite of Phinneywood event. Over 600 Bite attendees were invited to vote on the best bite of this new local tasting event on September 17th, and the contest ended up tied between North Star Diner‘s Left Coast Reuben and Thaiku‘s Gaeng Krua Sapparod.

Attendees were then invited to vote again between the two, and community members were invited to try each dish at their respective restaurants and vote as well. After tabulating the second round, it was a nail-biter again but Thaiku emerged as the final winner.

The Phinney Neighborhood Association and presenting sponsor Salmon Bay Community Lending relayed that “the Bite of PhinneyWood was an incredible day for everyone involved, and we already can’t wait to create something even better in 2023 and beyond.” As a reminder, this event sold out several weeks before the debut, and if you would like to be notified when 2023 tickets go on sale, you can sign up for an alert here.
