Brand new to the neighborhood, the Arc Restaurant and Lounge is wasting no time and will be presenting a lavish 5-course, 6 paired wine price fixe on Tuesday July 19th. The menu will feature items as scallop aguachile, charred octopus taco, heirloom tomato gazpacho, and chocolate olive oil cake.
But wines of Mexico? Renowned Anacortes importer Patrick Neri, owner of Beso Imports, will MC the event and guide you through a region that is not on many people’s radars:
“Tucked away in the mountains of Mexico’s northern Baja region, is one of the best kept secrets in the world of wine – Valle de Guadalupe. As wine and food enthusiasts from around the globe continue to flock to the valleys, vineyards, and restaurants being written up in magazines and newspapers from coast to coast, the era of the region being a ‘secret’ is about to end.”
Featured wineries will be Cetto, Monte Xanic, Barrigon, Santo Tomas, Paoloni, and Duoma. You can buy tickets for the event here.
Arc is the brainchild of one of our local restaurateurs, Travis Clark of North Star Diner and Shanghai Room, who is collaborating with veteran Tom Douglas Restaurants bar manager Todd Hamm. Arc’s cuisine is inspired by the fusion of Mexican and Korean cuisines seen at restaurants and food trucks in Los Angeles’ Koreatown.Â
