Former Bluebird Ice Cream location will become Chez Phinney Wine Bar

by | Jun 5, 2021

After years of traveling overseas and experiencing wine bars in Europe, 15 year Phinney Ridge residents, Julie and Andrew Goldstein, decided to bring this casual and fun experience to their neighborhood. Chez Phinney, a wine bar,  is excited to join the bustling main street at 7400 Greenwood Ave N. with plans to open this Summer. The location housed Bluebird Ice Cream for 10 years before they moved across the street earlier this spring.

While Seattle has its fair share of breweries, there is an absence of neighborhood wine bars, Chez Phinney will be a self serve establishment offering 24 different wines by the ounce. This allows the guest to try a one ounce pour before buying a larger three or five ounce selection. Chez Phinney will focus on smaller Pacific Northwest wineries as well as Old World mainstays. They will also offer four local beers on draft with a small menu of tidbits to cleanse the palette.

Stay tuned to Phinneywood for updates!
