The 9th annual Phinneywood Pride Rainbow Hop starts this Saturday

by | Jun 3, 2021

While we normally kick off Pride month with face painting, arts and crafts, and other exciting community activities, these are unusual times. While we cannot gather together to celebrate Pride, it is important that we let the world know that Phinney-Greenwood is safe, inclusive, and committed to equity. There is no appointed time or place this year, just a walking tour of the business community.

Businesses all along Greenwood will be participating in the “Hop Route” and will decorate their windows and sidewalks with rainbow images to promote inclusiveness and fun. This year there is a record 45 businesses that are decorating and showing their support for Pride Month – can you see them all? Put on your hiking shoes and venture out, rain or shine, this Saturday. You can download the map of participating businesses and organizations here.

This year the PNA is proud to be teaming up with the Robert Eagle Staff Middle School Queer-Straight Alliance and the Whitman Middle School Pride Club. We are and donating half of all sponsorship proceeds to benefit those clubs and their missions of inclusivity and understanding. A HUGE thank you to our 19 generous sponsors!
