“Comfort Food for uncomfortable times” – Martino’s returns to Phinney Ridge

After a couple pop-ups in early February, Martino’s quietly re-opened in a new location on Phinney Ridge some 5 years after disappearing from the neighborhood. Formerly housed in what is now Opus Co at 7410 Greenwood Ave N, chef Chris Martino has migrated several doors to the South and has re-opened at the former Hecho and Carmelita space at 7314 Greenwood Ave N.

Per their Facebook page: “Let’s Do this!! Doors are open, bar is stocked, kitchen ready to rock!! We have 5 tables for indoor seating or you can call for pickup or if you’re feeling fancy use that handy “order now” button on our page or bio. Cheers!!”

Martino’s also received a shot in the arm from Seattle Times food writer Tan Vinh immediately naming their Santa Maria tri-tip sandwich one of the 5 best sandwiches he consumed in February. He described it as “ribbons of beef that have been smoked over red oak and finished over an open flame. The meat is salty and smoky and redolent with paprika and brightened with the tang of salsa and chimichurri.” Yum.

Other menu items include Fried Chicken and Rib Dinners (go to their Facebook if you want to see these cooking in action), Chili, Mac & Cheese, as well as salads and sandwiches. Drop on by and support an old neighborhood friend!
