Childish Things re-opens for all your new and gently-used children’s items

by | Jun 23, 2020

With King County now in phase 2, Greenwood’s own Childish Things is now open again for shopping. Located at 97th and Holman Road and serving our neighborhood since 2008, Childish Things sells both new and gently-used items for children and “pregnant mamas.”

Owner Wendy Powell was kind enough to share these thoughts with us:

“We are glad that we moved almost two years ago to a much larger space so we can accommodate customers in a safe manner. Phase 2 allows us 16 customers at any one time, allowing for lots of space in our 4,000 sq.ft. full of new and gently-used items for children’s and mom-to-be.

We’ve been thrilled to see our customers back, even if it takes us  a few minutes to figure who you are behind those masks. It’s been a long, lonely three months, but hardly idle. We’ve built out an online shopping platform and have been doing curbside while closed.  While we have only a tiny portion of our gently-used items we do have most of our new items online.

Our goal from day one (over 11 years ago) was to make parents’ lives easier and curbside pick-up has always been an offering but we didn’t quite have our processes in place..  Now, when parents are running to the beach or pool and need toys, sunscreen, a rashguard or a swimsuit they can go online or give us a call and do curbside pickup. Nobody’s favorite thing about parenting is getting the kids in and out of the car! We are here to help!

Our hours are currently Monday through Saturday from 10 to 5 and Sundays again from 11-5.  We have all required safety protocols in place. Masks are required in the store.  We will start buying again after the 4th of July, although that process will look different than in the past.”
