PhinneyWood Round-Up – April 21st – Woodland Park Zoo, North Star Diner

by | Apr 21, 2020

It’s hard for us all to keep up with everything going on these days. PhinneyWood is here to help you stay up to date on some of the latest happenings around the neighborhood.

In honor of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, Woodland Park Zoo will be hosting a Virtual Town Hall this Wednesday at 6:30pm. The presentation will include a presentation from zoo President and CEO Alejandro Grajal, PhD, a panel discussion about the latest goings on at the zoo, as well as a demonstration of Earth Day activities you can do at home to help care for our planet. Register here to receive a link to join the virtual event and submit a question for the panelists.

After a month of offering burrito delivery and takeout services, North Star Diner has decided to close for the time being. They are very appreciative of all the support they have experienced in trying to keep the diner open during this time and hope to be back again soon. You can read their heartfelt announcement on their Facebook page.

Have some news that you need to share with the community, feel free to reach out so we can spread the word! There is an easy online submission form here.
