The Bar Method, a boutique barre-based fitness studio, is set to open in the heart of Phinney Ridge this spring. They will offer personalized group fitness classes incorporate interval based strength training, cardio, and strategic stretching sequences in a “lively and inclusive atmosphere.”
The Phinney Ridge studio is co-owned by two local women, both senior Bar Method instructors with a combined eight years of teaching experience: Kat Conlon, a former private equity professional and paralegal, and Mari Neubauer a political consultant and model.
All Bar Method instructors undergo rigorous and ongoing training that includes lessons in anatomy, musicality, and hands-on adjustments – something that is not the norm in this growing industry. The Bar Method’s signature technique was created under the guidance of physical therapists to ensure a “safe, challenging, and effective workout that tones all major muscle groups and improves flexibility,” according to their press release.
The studio will offer a variety of 45 and 60-minute class formats in the morning, afternoon and evening seven days a week; infant and toddler childcare; amenities including a shower, beauty bar, and towel service; athleisure and accessory retail offerings; and community partnerships and events.
